HealingThrough Journaling
POSITIVE

Hello Beautiful Humans
Do you ever talk to yourself? I do all the time. My kids laugh at me, especially Brooklyn (which I find so interesting, because she doesn't hear when I speak to her....selective hearing LOL). I always tell them " I am talking to myself because I need an expert opinion" when they ask who I am talking to. LOL !!! There are those who don't like to talk to anyone whether it be themselves, friends or a profecssional. Usually due to being judged - and let's face it we ourselves are the harshest judges. Journaling removes that pressure and the judgement. People who struggle to verbalize emotions, do not have worry about this when choosing to journal.
Although it still can be healing to have a chat with yourself or share your thoughts with a close friend, I also find journaling healing. I cannot tell you how therapeutic this truly is.
Many people think journaling is about writing beautifully or keeping a diary. But healing journaling is different.
It's about:
releasing thoughts
processing emotions
understanding ourselves
creating space in our minds
recognizing patterns
reflecting on growth
Sometimes journaling isn't about finding answers. Sometimes it's simply about creating a safe space where your thoughts can exist outside of your mind. Once they are written down, they often feel less overwhelming, less tangled, and easier to understand. There truly is something to be said about writing our emotions and feelings down and how refreshing and soulful it feels once they are out of our system. "Just to get it out on paper, out of your mind, your heart."
Here is a little exercise to try.
